Wright Landscapes was formally established in 2022. Anna and Bernice combined their unique skill sets and experience to begin creating transformation of residential landscapes.
Bernice Wright
BEd, DipTchg
Bernice brings years of practical experience creating peaceful, lush, leafy gardens in her own properties with her most current garden featured in the Tauranga Garden & Art Festival tours 2020 and 2022.
Bernice comes from a background in teaching the primary arts curriculum and recently graduated from the Nanette Cameron School of Interior Design. This study helped reinforce her understanding of the principles of design.
Drawing inspiration from structure, balance and repetition, she creates classic, contemporary designs that endure. She believes the garden space should be a private tranquil outdoor place to commune with the natural world and be nurtured and revived.
Anna Wright
MArch (Prof), BAS
Anna’s interest in spatial design drew her to study architecture. Her interest in landscape design was sparked many years earlier, growing up in the beautiful gardens mentioned above. The switch from architecture to landscape design was an easy one having already gained a base knowledge in gardening and plant identification from her childhood.
Anna’s background in architecture provides her with a unique perspective on landscape design and she draws on methods learned to guide the design process. She too, is passionate about classic, timeless design and creating oases that offer respite and engagement with the natural world. Anna particularly enjoys the satisfying challenge of designing small inner-city gardens.
